Having fixed all the problems on his own team, Bill Stewart is giving advice to Cincinnati:  Don’t sit Zach Collaros.  Actually, what he said does make sense:

“I don’t know how you take the hot hand out.  He is playing well. Right now, I don’t know how you take him out, to be perfectly honest.”

Alright, but more importantly, Stewart doesn’t know how to stop Collaros, or Pike for that matter:

“I don’t know what we are going to do.  I have no idea.”

Hmmmm, that doesn’t sound overly inspiring to me.  And as for the question of whether Noel Devine will be able to play Friday or not, Stewart continued to play coy:

“Noel, I don’t know if he will be able to play or not, he should be able to go.  Now we spend all week practicing for Noel not to play, even though I hope he does and think he will.”

So we’re preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.  I do understand.  Noel Devine is a second thought at the moment.  We haven’t been able to run the ball for the last couple weeks at all.  Jarrett Brown is playing somewhat poorly at times (poorly enough that the crowd cheered when he had to leave the game) and the defense has a suspect secondary.  And Bill’s “I don’t know what we’re going to do…” doesn’t necessarily inspire a lot of confidence in me that our defense knows how to stop Pike or Collaros.  Maybe Bill is just playing with Cincy and actually has a master plan to decimate the Bearcats…but I wouldn’t bet too much on it.
